At a glance

• Your markdown stays in your browser—it is never uploaded to a server.
• Only layout settings (page size, margins, theme, justification, page numbers) are stored locally via localStorage.
• No accounts, no tracking cookies, no third-party ad pixels.
• Cloudflare provides our CDN hosting and privacy-focused analytics beacons (your browser may block them, like Brave does by default).

Markdown & document content

Everything you type or paste into Markdown to Paper is rendered directly in your browser. We do not transmit, log, or persist your document content anywhere outside of the current tab. Closing the tab clears the document contents entirely.

Settings stored on your device

We remember only the preferences that make formatting easier—paper size, margin values, theme, and whether you justify text or show page numbers. These values live in your browser’s localStorage under the key mdPaper.settings. Clear your browser data (or run a private window) and they disappear.

Third-party services

Markdown to Paper is hosted on Cloudflare Pages and served through Cloudflare’s global CDN. Cloudflare may receive routine request metadata (IP address, user agent, and basic performance metrics) to keep the service fast and secure. We also enable Cloudflare’s lightweight, privacy-friendly analytics beacon to count visits and performance trends—it does not use cookies or create advertising profiles.

International use

We operate from the United States but welcome a global audience. Offering EU paper sizes does not change the fact that we purposefully avoid collecting personal data. If local regulations require additional disclosures for your use case, please reach out so we can help.
